Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Alexa was first introduced to the restaurant industry at a young age. Knowing that this was her passion, she pursued an education at Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart before attending Isenberg School of Management at UMASS. Proficient in Italian and Spanish and having learned the ins and outs of working in a kitchen and restaurant through family owned businesses, Alexa decided to round out her experience with a concentration in club management. Upon graduation, she was then given the opportunity to join the Hopkinton Country Club, Hopkinton, MA, where she was responsible for directing all aspects of the private club’s food and beverage outlets. Over-seeing golf tournaments and all banquet outlets, she was a key player in the development of the clubs dining needs from its inception.
Alexa’s strong knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry next led her to accepting a position in Boston within XV Beacon Hotel. She was then recruited by Chef Jamie Mammano to oversee the private dining sales for The Federalist and the XV Beacon Hotel’s Wine Cellar and Parlor Suites, where she played an integral part in developing relationships and sharpening up her strong managerial skills to grow the private dining aspects of the property.
When Mooo… opened in August of 2007, Alexa was honored to accept the position of Assistant General Manager where she was a key player in the development of the restaurants continued success. Alexa was then invited by Jamie Mammano and The Columbus Hospitality Group to become the General Manager of Mooo…, in November 2008.
