A quote absorbed daily by Alexa. Born and raised in the North End of Boston, she was first introduced to the restaurant industry at a young age. Knowing that hospitality would soon to be her lifelong passion, she pursued & graduated business school at the Isenberg School of Management in Amherst, MA. Proficient in Italian and Spanish, and having learned the ins and outs of working in a restaurant through family owned businesses, Alexa decided to round out her hospitality experience with a concentration in Club Management by joining the Club Managers Association of America and by serving as the Vice President of its student chapter for several years.
Upon graduation, she was then given the opportunity to join the opening team of the Hopkinton Country Club in Hopkinton, MA in 2003, where she was responsible for directing all aspects of the private club’s food and beverage outlets. Over-seeing golf tournaments, social events and all private event outlets, she was a key player in the development of the clubs dining needs from its inception.
In early 2007, Alexa was asked to return to the city and join the team at The Federalist, an upscale French-American dining concept where she would grow 'The Wine Cellar', its Private Dining outlet to one of the most desired dining destinations in the country.
When Mooo.… opened, the new fine-dining steakhouse concept within XV Beacon Hotel in August of 2007, Alexa was invited by Chef/Owner Jamie Mammano and The Columbus Hospitality Group to become the General Manager, where she continues today, dedicating her passion to this industy; overseeing all dining operations of the restaurant and the food & beverage outlets for the boutique hotel's 63 rooms.
In her spare time, when shes not voluteering with local charities dedicated to helping feed the underserved & assisting in veteran affairs, Alexa enjoys travelling oversees with her husband, and on weekends often splits her time in the city and her home on Nantucket.
