Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Alexa was introduced to the restaurant industry at a young age. Knowing that this was her passion, Alexa pursued an education at Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart before attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst’s Business Management Program. Proficient in Italian and Spanish and having learned the ins and outs of working in a kitchen and restaurant through family owned businesses, Alexa decided to round out her experience with a concentration in club management. She was then given the opportunity to join the Hopkinton Country Club, Hopkinton, Massachusetts, where she was responsible for directing all aspects of the private club’s food and beverage outlets. Over-seeing the golf tournaments and banquet outlets, she was a key player in the development of the clubs dining needs.
Alexa’s strong knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry next led her to accepting a position with the XV Beacon Hotel. She became the Dining Room Manager for The Federalist Restaurant in Boston, a French fine-dining restaurant. She was then recruited by Chef Jamie Mammano to oversee the private dining sales for The Federalist and the XV Beacon Hotel’s Wine Cellar and Parlor Suites, where she played an integral part in developing relationships and sharpening up her strong managerial skills.
When Mooo… opened in August of 2007, Alexa was honored and accepted the position to become the Assistant General Manager where she was a key player in the development of the restaurants continued success. Alexa was invited by Jamie Mammano and The Columbus Hospitality Group to become the General Manager of Mooo…, in November 2008.
